1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Acturtle’s website ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don’t agree, please don’t use our Services.

2. Services overview

Acturtle provides a knowledge-sharing platform and actuarial modelling software.

3. User accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when registering.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
  • Notify us immediately of any security breach or unauthorized access.

4. Use of the services

  • Use only for legitimate purposes in accordance with laws.
  • Do not attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, disrupt, or infringe our intellectual property.
  • Respect other users and refrain from harassment or inappropriate conduct.

5. Content & intellectual property

  • All content — articles, software, documentation — is owned by Acturtle or its licensors and protected under copyright and other laws.
  • You have a limited, non-exclusive license to use content and software for your internal business and actuarial modelling purposes.
  • You may not redistribute or create derivative works without written permission.

6. User‑generated content

  • You retain ownership of content you post (e.g., comments, contributions), granting us a perpetual, worldwide license to use it.
  • You represent it is yours to post and does not infringe others’ rights.

7. Modifications & updates

  • We may update or discontinue features without notice.
  • We may amend these Terms; updated versions take effect upon posting.

8. Fees & payment

If any paid services become available, fee terms will be clearly stated. All payments are non‑refundable unless required by law.

9. Disclaimers & no guarantees

Our Services are provided "as is", with no warranties of accuracy or uninterrupted access.

We're not liable for modelling errors, financial decisions or damages arising from use of our content or tools.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted, Acturtle’s liability to you is capped at the amount you’ve paid in the past 12 months (or one nominal unit if unpaid). We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Acturtle harmless from any claims arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Services.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations or legal reasons. You may also close your account. Post‑termination, provisions on liability, IP and indemnity survive.

13. Governing law & dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by EU law, without conflicts-of-law rules.

Disputes are resolved in EU courts unless required otherwise.

14. General provisions

If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains.

These Terms constitute the full agreement, superseding prior discussions.
